In the basement of Basch House 1887, the art of brewing is brought to life with the help of technology developed by the well-known and respected Salm family. Father and son, the creative minds behind this name, have brought to life a line for producing possibly the best beers. Today this company exports its equipment worldwide and can look back on a century of experience and tradition. We are delighted to announce that our restaurant has become a partner in this wonderful beer story in 2023.
In Vienna, where the Salm family is the proud owner of two excellent restaurants, there is a wide selection of exquisite dishes and the most delicious beer, just like at Basch House in Subotica.
The equipment we use is automated, modern, and of high quality; the ingredients for our beers are carefully selected in cooperation with our partners to serve our guests a beer just like the one in Vienna.
Under the expert supervision of experienced technologists, every glass of beer magic at Basch House 1887 carries the spirit of authentic tradition.

This story begins in Vienna, a city that has been the first and only city in the world to constitutionally protect drinking water since 2001. This city, known for one of the best tap waters, inspired us to do something that seemed impossible to many at first glance – Viennese water in Subotica!
Yes, it is possible!
The quality of the Viennese beer and water made us wish for the same experience in our restaurant. We began our not-so-easy exploration, but when one truly desires something, there are no more obstacles.
To have the same water quality in our restaurant, it was necessary to create our own small and modern water factory.
Our team of technologists, together with technologists from Vienna, paid special attention to developing the perfect filtration method. Many liters later, we can proudly say that we have achieved our goal.
